Cost Accountant Job Summary:
Vitis Energy is seeking a Cost Accountant to support the strategic financial planning of clean energy development, construction and operations. This role requires a unique blend of technical financial acumen, accounting skills, strategic thinking, and leadership in a complex, multi-entity environment. The candidate is expected to have a solid foundation in preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports, executing month-end closing procedures, conducting external audits, and performing account reconciliations across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have experience managing costs across multiple entities and projects, possess strong analytical skills, and be familiar with the energy development industry.
Cost Accountant Duties/Responsibilities (including, but not limited to) :
Cost Control and Efficiency : Implement cost-control measures and optimize financial operations for efficiency. Monitor and analyze operating costs and make recommendations for financial optimization.
Tax Strategy and Compliance: Oversee tax planning and compliance. Ensure adherence to tax regulations and explore tax incentives available in the renewable energy sector.
Project Costing: Analyze project-specific costs for energy infrastructure, such as solar, wind, and traditional energy projects.
Analysis and Forecasting: Conduct analysis and financial forecasting. Provide insights on market trends in the renewable energy sector.
Strategic Financial Planning: Work closely with Financial Controller to develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with the company's goals. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the executive management team.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all cost accounting practices comply with financial regulations and industry standards.
