Summary:

Deep Cleaning Specialists (Housekeepers) assist the functionally impaired elderly who are homebound with chores that they are unable to perform. Chores may include deep cleaning of the home environment: dusting, mopping, cleaning, sweeping, the interior areas of the residence.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have a valid Florida Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must use personal vehicle to drive to clients' homes.
• Must be able to read, write, complete reports, and accept supervision.
• Must have access to a smart phone for communication and time management.
• Must be responsible for his or her own transportation to each client's assigned site during the workday.
• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Report client-related issues to the office immediately.
• 1+ years janitorial/cleaning experience preferred.
• Experience with home-based care is helpful.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary.
• Must successfully complete 30 hours of classroom and on-site training and demonstrate proficiency in required duties.
• Submit to AHCA/DOEA background checks and drug screening.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for time management, work routines, equipment, customer service, keeping management up to date on workflow.
• Perform general cleanup of all areas of the residence as directed.
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders.
• Removing garbage and recycling.
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
• Assist with chore activities related to pest control.
• Ensure rooms have clear paths and are well-maintained.
• Cleaning specialties - Hoarding, heavy cleaning, windows, schedule weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cleanings.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am- 3:00pm.
• Morning Shift: 9:00am to 12:00pm
• Afternoon Shift: 12:30pm to 3:00pm
• With 30-minute transition/lunch time break.
• The position will be available during designated business hours. Designated business hours mean being readily available on the premises or by telecommunication.
• Due to circumstances that may arise, overtime may be required at times.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with clients who have inquiries or questions.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Must be able to move, transport, position, put, and remove equipment weighing up to 50 pounds for various needs.
• Occasionally operates a computer or other office products such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Frequently is in a client’s home setting.
