Job Description

:

The District Manager for Noble Trucking in the Bakken region is responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing trucking operations. This role ensures smooth, compliant, and efficient logistics to meet the needs of customers in the oil and gas industry. The District Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, manage a team of drivers and support staff, ensure safety compliance, and foster positive client relationships. They will also work closely with senior management to implement company-wide initiatives and drive business growth in the district.

Requirements:

Operational Oversight:

o Lead and manage all trucking operations within the district to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials.

o Ensure the optimization of routing, fleet management, and resource allocation to meet business goals.

o Monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to identify operational improvements.

Safety and Compliance:

o Ensure all trucking activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations (DOT, OSHA, etc.).

o Develop and implement safety protocols, training programs, and ensure adherence to company-wide safety standards.

o Investigate accidents/incidents and lead corrective action plans.

Team Management:

o Supervise and mentor a team of drivers, dispatchers, and support staff to ensure high performance and morale.

o Oversee recruitment, training, and development of employees to meet operational needs.

o Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and fostering professional development.

Customer Relations:

o Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in the Bakken region, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

o Work with customers to resolve issues, anticipate needs, and maintain strong business relationships.

Financial Management:

o Manage district budgets, control costs, and analyze financial data to ensure profitability.

o Provide regular reporting to senior management on financial performance and operational efficiency.

o Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency, increase revenue, and drive growth in the district.

Maintenance Oversight:

o Ensure all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and serviced according to company and regulatory standards.

o Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule regular preventive maintenance and address repair needs promptly.

o Track maintenance records, analyze vehicle performance, and minimize downtime to keep operations running smoothly.

Strategic Planning:

o Work closely with the corporate leadership team to align district goals with company-wide initiatives.

o Identify new business opportunities, develop strategies to expand service offerings, and enhance market position.

o Stay up to date on market trends, customer demands, and industry regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Education:

o Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.

Experience:

o 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.

o Prior experience managing operations in the oil and gas sector, particularly in the Bakken region, is a strong plus.

Skills:

o Strong leadership and team management skills.

o In-depth knowledge of trucking regulations (FMCSA, DOT), safety standards, and industry best practices.

o Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.

o Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

o Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resources.

o Knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance best practices.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic computer skills including all Microsoft Office software and the capability to learn and utilize new software.
