The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Scope of Position:

The intern will provide scripting and tool building support for Cybersecurity development operations. They will support scripting of tools, API's, and automation playbooks for use by Corning's CSIRT team.

Responsibilities:

• The intern will be involved in projects for data collection, automation platform integration, and scripting in python for actions within multiple security tool platforms.
• They will need to know and understand how to script in python and troubleshoot code in real-time with a complier to complete actions and deploy code to live systems.

Education and Experience:

• Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer programming, Computer Scripting
• Relevant experience a plus

Requirements: 

• Experience with Python
• Experience with SPL
• Experience with Golang
• Experience with Script debugging
• Experience with API configuration
• Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
• Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
• Be willing to work at the posted job location

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
