KERB+, SOCIAL IMPACT COACH
The Social Impact Coach is responsible for the Engaging and Coaching stages of the KERB Ecosystem in San Francisco. The role manages the relationships with our network of impact partners and venue teams and is responsible for building out the early stage business coaching and job coaching programs.
The role is the first point of contact for all impact partner beneficiaries referred to our services in the US and is required to work closely across the KERB Group to ensure that all elements of the Engaging and Coaching services are well understood and all opportunities to offer work experience and business development support are offered to participants.
The role needs to have someone that loves brilliant food as much as they love supporting people and they will also love the hustle of developing a network of impact partners to share resources and make sure our wonderful reach goes as far as possible across San Francisco and beyond.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Developing a program of learning and development for participants that includes a blend of online and face to face workshops
Work closely with the onsite cookery school and develop close ties between the local community and that resource
Develop partnerships and engage with community based partners and learning institutions to ensure that all participants have the appropriate level of support and wrap around care required
Introduce a food waste management program that redirects food waste from Saluahll to the local community partners
Ensure that the main focus of all education programs is to support those that need it most into employment in the hospitality industry
Work with the venue and Market Street Academy teams and lead the development of a curriculum for learning at the coaching stage of the development pathway to ensure that the KERB Classroom has a structured business support focus
Manage the coaching budget planning process in San Francisco and report progress against all budget requirements monthly
Monitor and present regular reports on progress, including detailed case studies of success stories of those supported into employment, entrepreneurship and the volume of food waste redistribution
Design and deliver workshops that engage with those that are furthest away from the workplace and ensure that they are underpinned with the values and culture of KERB
Develop training interventions with existing KERB staff to enable them to offer more support and coaching to participants that may be working with them
Contribute towards funding and sponsorship projects to ensure that key criteria is met from an educational perspective
Work with the People and Market Street Academy teams to design and deliver an apprenticeship programme that supports charity referrals into the workplace across the KERB ecosystem
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Great knowledge of developing a vocational education program - even better if this is in hospitality
Experience working in or with independent food businesses
An interest in the independent food industry and wider food scene of San Francisco
A really good trainer and educator with a passion for supporting people
Someone who is passionate about working with small businesses to help make the city a better and more delicious place to live
A keen commercial eye and a focus on sustainability (financial, social, environmental)
A good grasp of relevant tech - all our systems are cloud-based
Proactive / self-starter with lots of initiative
Excellent people skills, confident talking to clients and traders in a straightforward and open manner and developing long-term relationships
Outstanding hustle
Level 5 qualification in coaching or equivalent relating to education and training would be useful
Compensation: $73,000 - $75,000 annually, part-time. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
