About the Role:
The office cleaning and maintenance assistant is a key part of the Earthbound office management team and works closely with the front desk assistant and office manager, along with the various teams within the NY office. This is a role that is inherently tied to the office and as such, the expectation is that this role reports to the office on a daily basis, but there is a lot of flexibility with hours in the office as the primary responsibility is the daily cleaning of the office.
This is a physical job with physical demands-- you must be comfortable lifting heavy items (hand trucks and other options available), climbing on ladders, and being on your feet for large portions of the day.
* Office Cleaning
+ Ensure that the office (2 floors) is properly cleaned on a daily basis including the kitchen area, bathrooms, and common spaces.
+ Trash removal, dusting, mopping, and general custodial responsibilities
* Manage shipping and receiving function
+ Receiving and sorting daily mail and packages, especially after a weekend or days when the office has been closed
+ Assist teams as needed with preparing packages, running errands, making company returns,
* Stock and Maintain office and cleaning supply inventory- communicating needs to Front Desk Assistant for purchasing any office supplies
* Manage communication with building maintenance staff and advise office manager of any repairs or areas of concern within the office
* Manage company storage area in building basement, coordinating with teams to regularly inventory items and shred, discard, or donate as needed
* Work with teams to maintain product display shelves, coordinating old product to be gifted or donated
* Maintain storage spaces throughout the office-- closets, product wall, cabinets, conference rooms storage shelves
* Assist NY teams with item returns, errands, and ad hoc projects
* Run errands for company executives as needed
* Assist Office Manager with ad hoc projects such as prep, set up, and break down of company events
* Fill in for front desk assistant as needed
