Part-time Physical Therapist, Flexible, Mobile Outpatient

Shasta Health is looking for PRN physical therapists in NYC who excel in outpatient care, and are looking for an opportunity to grow into telehealth in the future as an early employee at a hypergrowth healthcare startup.

About You:

• Youre a NY licensed physical therapist who is passionate about patient care across the age spectrum. Were starting first with the patients who need you most (Medicare - our golden generation) and growing into other patient populations
• Youre entrepreneurial in spirit, willing to do what it takes to provide the best care for your patients, no matter their circumstance or location, and excited at the opportunity to help shape a growing health tech startup
• Youre keen to explore combining outpatient physical therapy with in-home PT benefits, and looking to grow into telehealth in the future
• You are looking for a flexible work schedule or an additional side hustle where you have control
• You are comfortable treating Medicare patients, and open to working with other patient groups as we grow
• You have at least 1 year of direct patient care professional experience with the Medicare population

The Role:

• Direct Patient Care: Youll be treating Medicare patients in home and open to expanding into telehealth and other populations.
• Flexibility: Set your own schedule. Choose when and where you want to see patients, though some flexibility will be needed throughout the week.
• Contract: Part-time physical therapists, first as contractors, but with the opportunity to grow into full-time roles in the future as we continue to grow and shape patient care together.
• Case Load and Location: Minimum of 3-5 hours a week, with 5-10 patients seen in-person around Manhattan per week that can flex up or down depending on volume.
• State-of-the-art Technology: Our software platform handles scheduling, documentation, home exercises and insurance & billing. Forget about the paperwork and focus on your patients!
• Participate in Tech/Product Development: Youll report directly to another experienced clinician, and have direct access to both the CEO and CTO as the voice of both patients and providers, giving input into how the care model and software should work. Youll also get to experiment with new tech like AI and VR with the goal of making rehab better!

Requirements:

• NY State PT license
• Close proximity to Manhattan, with the ability to treat patients in-home around the Manhattan area
• At least 1 year of direct patient care professional experience with the Medicare population
• CPR/BLS certification

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with similar documentation systems like WebPT and StrataPT
• Experience with patient acquisition
• Previous experience with outpatient at home PT services
• Residency trained or board certified
• Verifiable Medicare Credentialing (NPI number)
• Personal transportation + valid drivers license
• Liability insurance

Salary, Benefits and Contract:

• $80-150per hour of patient care
• Documentation stipend for up to 2 hours per week depending on volume
• Travel stipend based on volume
• 1099 contractor - with future opportunities for full-time and internal positions based on your great patient care results
