Job Summary:
Tutor Doctor of SWNGS is seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students of various age groups and educational levels. Your role will involve creating personalized lesson plans, assisting with homework assignments, and helping students develop effective study skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and the ability to connect with students on an individual level.
Subjects: Math, Science, Chemistry, Physics, English - Reading, Writing, Social studies, Spanish
Age: All school ages.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with students in various subjects
- Assess students' academic needs and develop customized lesson plans
- Assist students with homework assignments and provide guidance on study strategies
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents or guardians
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to identify areas for improvement
- Utilize effective teaching methods to engage students and enhance their understanding of the subject matter
- Adapt teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress and submit a session report within 24 hours of each tutoring session.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or students in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge in the subject area(s) you will be tutoring
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to establish rapport with students and create a positive learning environment
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students
- Familiarity with curriculum development and educational resources
- A degree in education or a related field is preferred, but not required
