Job Description :

We're seeking a skilled QA Engineer to ensure the seamless interoperability of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) with our Auto Configuration Server (ACS). This role involves writing and executing manual and automated tests to validate software functionality and drive product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive test plans aligned with design and testing requirements.

Create clear and concise documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, and training materials.

Design test cases to ensure software behaves as expected, and execute tests to verify requirements are met.

Provide detailed reports throughout the software life cycle, estimating time and effort for tasks and features.

Configure test environments for consistency, automate repetitive tasks using existing frameworks, and participate in reviews to enhance product quality and testability.

Investigate and resolve problems collaboratively with Engineering and Consulting teams.

Ability to handle multiple projects and switch quickly and comfortably between projects.

Debug and reproduce issues in customer labs or local environments upon request.

Work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department and company goals; perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of professional software testing experience.

Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and experience working in Unix/Linux environments.

Familiarity with web services API testing and test approaches (JSON, SOAP, REST, etc.).

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and switch between them comfortably.

Professional experience in authoring documentation, test cases, test reports, and defect reports.

Experience with issue tracking systems like JIRA, RTC, and Salesforce.

Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC), including waterfall and agile methodologies.

Essential Skills:

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

Demonstrable customer focus and effective communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken English.

Adept at articulating ideas in a clear, collaborative manner, both in writing and verbally.

Proactive, self-motivated individual who excels in a team setting and values constructive feedback.

Prior experience with international clients is highly regarded and considered a distinct advantage.

Some flexibility to collaborate with peers in global time zones.

We will be thrilled if you possess any of the following:

Understanding of Device Management Protocols such as TR-069/TR-369 and IoT solutions.

Networking and/or software development background.

Applied professional experience with Linux networking.

Experience with CMTS/DOCSIS cable infrastructure and modem/gateway testing.

Ability to write test scripts using scripting languages like Perl, Python, or shell.

Knowledge of performance testing concepts.
